How to wear a fascinator.....

Welcome to the fabulous world of fascinators.

If you are used to wearing a hat but think that it's time to go that extra mile and wear something special, now is the time to take the plunge and choose a fascinator!

Unlike a hat, which can be cumbersome and sometimes uncomfortable to wear, fascinators are light, extremely easy to wear and can make the most fabulous of statements - the only limitation with a fascinator
is your imagination - the possibilities are endless!!!!

Some of our customers have expressed a concern with 'how secure' is a fascinator? The simple answer is.............very!!!

The first rule to remember is that if your fascinator is mounted on a comb, when placing the fascinator, the teeth must always face downwards.

With normal hair thickness (and if the fascinator is not too large) the fascinator should fit comfortably on your head without any help.
However, if your hair is thin (or short) and the fascinator is not 'sitting comfortably' choose the area where the fascinator will be placed, back-comb that particular area of hair, spray with hair lacquer, let it dry and then 'place' the fascinator.

If buying a fascinator mounted on a hairband please remember that once a fascinator is mounted on a band you will not be able to change the angle of the headpiece so think about this carefully and discuss with your Milliner before ordering.

When buying a fascinator on-line, always check out the photo first and then you will get an idea of where you should be positioning your fascinator - fascinators are designed to be placed either on the right or left-hand side of your head.
At Titfer Designs all fascinators have been made to be placed just 'off-centre' to the right-hand side of the head. Of course you can wear the fascinator however you like but by changing the position you will get a completely different design (which may not be to your liking).

When storing your fascinator please ensure that it is kept in an environment that is not too hot and definitely not in direct sunlight (as this will dry out the feathers) - best bet is in a hat-box or the box it has been sent in.

If you have any other questions - just give a shout!!
